Yoga Instructor Survived After 2 weeks in The Forest Alone

USA - The American yoga instructor Amanda Eller (35) was found on Friday (24/5) in the Hawaiian jungle after more than two weeks reported missing. She was last seen on May 8, 2019 and claimed to survive by eating fruits and makeshift water sources. It is reported that Eller's lover was the last person to see her before she disappeared. The police found her car in a parking lot near the hiking trail in the forest.

At first Eller explored the Makawao Protection Forest on Maui Island, but she was lost and did not return home. Amanda stated on the video that she posted on her Facebook page that, the last 17 days of her life were the toughest days of her life and that was a very significant spiritual journey and she lost about seven kilograms.

When convinced to be lost, family and friends launched a search mission and offer a sum of cash for those who could find Eller. The raising campaign was held and successfully collected up to USD 70,000 million or IDR 1 billion Rupiah.

She was found in a waterfall by a helicopter search team. When she was found she walked barefoot and broke her leg. Her leg was broken due to falling from a cliff six meters high and still in recovery.

Eller told AFP on Sunday (26/5) that she is very grateful for the people who have helped her, for those who have been willing to spend money for her and hoping that this situation won't happen to her again or to anyone.
