Writer Accused Donald Trump For Sexual Assault

E. Jean Carroll is a writer and longtime advice columnist in Elle magazine for column "Ask E. Jean". Carroll’s sexual assault accusation on Trump was written as an excerpt for her upcoming book, What Do We Need Men For? A Modest Proposal. The excerpt was published by New York Magazine on Friday. Trump wasn’t the only powerful man on the list. There’s also the former CBS head, Les Moonves, who allegedly assaulted her after an interview.

Carroll wrote that the Trump incident happened in either the fall of 1995 or the spring of 1996. It occurred at the department store Bergdorf Goodman. In her excerpt, she said that Trump recognized her from a daily advice show she had. Trump asked her to help him choosing a gift. They made their way to lingerie section, then to the dressing room. When they entered and the door of dressing room was closed, he pushed Carroll againts the wall. She got hit in the head badly and he forced his way into her. However, Carroll finally freed herself and ran. The incident lasted no more than three minutes. She admitted that her cowardice was the reason she didn’t report the incident right away. Carroll only told two close friends and both confirmed her story.

Trump responded by saying he never met Carroll before. He also said that she only wrote it for publicity of her new book. While people can doubt Carroll’s story, Trump already have his own bad reputation. In fact, New York Magazine noted that Carroll is the 16th woman who accused Trump of sexual misconduct since he ran for president. He denied all allegations. His statement about not knowing E. Jean Carroll is also doubtful. The article posted by New York Magazine showed a photo of Donald Trump and his then-wife, Ivana Trump, with Carroll and her husband in a party.
