Roger Federer take a break after Rome Masters quarter-finals (Miamiopen)

Will the French Open be Federer's last tournament?

After deciding to quit the 2019 Rome Masters quarter-finals, former world number 1 from Switzerland, Roger Federer revealed that the French Open tournament might be his last tournament. Right-foot injury experienced after the match with Croatian tennis player, Borna Coric, requires that he take a break. Now the 37-year-old is undergoing a recovery period. Federer, who is currently ranked third in the world, said that his age is no longer young and his physical body that is easily injured is the reason for thinking to retire.

Even so, he didn’t feel the Roland Garros tournament was his last tournament. He hopes to be able to perform optimally at the French Open at Roland Garros this year. He wants to be able to play like ten years ago. Throughout his career, Federer only won one grand slam champion in 2000. At that time, the winner of the 20 grand slam titles defeated Swedish tennis player Robin Soderling. Roland Garros 2019 itself is scheduled to take place on May 26 to June 9, 2019.

Roger Federer is one of the best Swiss players considered the best tennis player of all time. He holds the record for the most current Grand Slam holders with 20 titles.
