USJの任天堂エリア、来春開業　店舗は先行でオープン

USJ's Nintendo area opens next spring

Universal Studios Japan (USJ, Osaka) announced on July 7 that super NINTENDO WORLD, a new area on the theme of Nintendo game characters, will open in spring 2021. It was originally planned for this summer, but it was postponed with a corona.

The new area will include attractions for the popular characters Mario and Yoshi. The building is almost completed and will be tested and finished in the interior and exterior. Prior to opening, Mario Cafe & Store will open on the 16th of this month in the image of the game world. The shop is lined with tables decorated with mushroom patterns, and you can buy original goods such as T-shirts and cushions with Mario hats.

USJ resumed operations in June. However, in order to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus, the number of visitors is reduced to half of the normal number. Mario's shops also limit the number of people if crowded.
