Sealed and unopen cloth mask to be donated to childcare facilities

Unused Child Cloth Mask to be Donate to Child Care Facilities

Household received cloth masks distributed by the government for the children, and there were several problems arise such as its size didn't fit. So Okayama companies were collecting donations from people in Okayama City who not using their child cloth mask distributed by government & donate them to children in childcare facilities.

On the 11th, so far more than 200 masks sent were shipped, and sent to 15 orphanages in the prefecture. For hygiene reasons, we accept donations only from unopened masks, and if the number of facilities in the prefecture is sufficient, we would like to consider donating them to facilities in Tokyo where the spread of infection is more serious.

The government has begun to distribute to all households nationwide, and because they are smaller than commercially available disposable masks, there are some people who say that they will not use cloth masks, like doctors, nurses, etc. because cloth masks did not fully protect you. A design production company in Kita-Ku, Okayama City started the campaign last month to donate cloth masks to children who are short of children's needs in order to help children if they do not use it due to its size.

Yuki Uemura, President of the “Total Design Center”, who started the initiative, said, “Since it is a cloth mask that will be distributed all the time, we would like to continue working so that children who need it can use it”.
