Tyson Meals Beef Plant Workers in Kansas Can Lose Their Jobs After Hearth

On August 9, 2019, an emergency call was received around 8:35 p.m. by the Finney County Communications Center. It was from the operations manager at the Tyson plant in Holcomb, reporting a fire in the building’s west end near the slaughter operations. All the workers were safely evacuated. However, apparently the fire caused significant damage to the extent the plant would remain closed for indefinite period of time.

According to the Tyson Foods spokesman, Worth Sparkman, the company still don’t know how long the plant will be closed. No details given so far about the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage. Sparkman described it as a big fire. This fire had to force around 3,800 workers at Kansas’ Tyson Foods Inc to be out of work, the company said on Sunday. Although Tyson Foods will give them “some guaranteed pay”. The further details will be given to the workers on Monday and the company promised to answer their questions.

A dealer Dan Norcini stated the cattle market won’t be happy with this hearth. It is nonetheless depends on how long the facility will be shut down. For the worst possibility, the company may need to move its beef plant to another place. An act that would be done without a small price.
