Two Climbers Found Dead in Everest

NEPAL - Beating the Everest’s summit is like beating death itself. While Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay made it to the summit in 1953, many people also would like to experience how does it feel like to stand on top of the world. Nepal is making gold out of it.

Just today, many climbers were gathered near the peak, as the mountain took 2 other souls to its collection. Yesterday, as many as 200 climbers gathered around the mountain, from China to India, to try and to beat Everest, since the weather was clear.

These climbers made a long queue to trail from the foot of the mountain to the top and back, accompanied by Nepali villager. That was when the incident occurred.

The victims are American and Indian. The American, known as Donald Lynn Cash (55), fell while taking pictures of him at the peak. While, the Indian, known as Anjali Kulkarni (55) died when she could not make it back, due to the crowd.

While they were in for the thrill, they also had to face frostbite and altitude sickness. Anjali had to wait for a long time to get to the peak, before she could descend. She was frozen inside out, could not move and she passed away before she could reach the bottom of the mountain to get treatment.

The reason why Everest was so crowded in this 2 months is because the good weather is perfect for mountaineering.

With these 2 casualties, there are already 4 cases. The other 2 was another Indian who died just last week, and an Irish who fell and could not be found.
