Trump travels to Georgia to surrender to authorities

Trump made the trip on Thursday to face state charges similar to ones he faced earlier this month at the federal level. This time, he had to turn himself in for processing at a county jail. Dozens of his supporters were waiting for his arrival. Some even borrowed his familiar phrases. One person said, "I'm here to protest the politically motivated witch hunt." A grand jury indicted Trump and 18 others last week for conspiring to pressure officials to change the outcome of the election. It was his fourth indictment in as many months. Law enforcement officials say they want to treat the defendants as they do other accused felons. That includes mugshots, fingerprinting and cash bail. The judge set Trump's bail at 200,000 dollars.
