Trump: It's all lies and they hope it will stick

Amid the allegation of defamation on the United States (U.S) war veterans, the current president of the U.S., Donald Trump, played all defensive. The media reported that Trump's statement might be a major downfall for his campaign to his re-election on 3 November. Previously on 3 September, a report from The Atlantic told that Trump stated that the Marine war veterans buried in Europe were "losers". The disparaging remark was made when Trump canceled a visit to Normandy American Cemetery in France.

Over the weekend, the allegation became a hot topic. Democrats and Republicans alike seized the opportunity to attack Trump. One of the Republicans and the former Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, stated Trump's ill, despicable, remark is most likely true, considering the fact that Trump often verbally harrassed the U.S military personnel, from James Mattis to John McCain.

U.S. House Speaker, also known as Trump's inside opposition, Nancy Pelosi, regretted the fact that the POTUS had said that, saying that it "breaks heart". Meanwhile, a retired U.S. Army and also a former National Security Council official, Colonel Jeff McCausland, stated that Trump has been showing disrespect toward U.S war veterans and military personnel consistently in a "clear pattern".

On the other hand, Trump tweeted that it was all misinformation. On the same occasion, Trump also attacked the Democrats who vies for Joe Biden as its candidate for the POTUS seat. Biden, seizing the opportunity, boasted in his military record and the fact that his late son, Beau Biden, also served in Iraq.
