Toys R Us is Coming Back Soon
It was a sad day for kids and those whose childhood spent looking for toys at Toys R Us’ aisles. On May 2018, Toys R Us released sad commercials, announcing their departure from the retail industry. Before the official closing, the retail did a gigantic sale which of course, made their stores in the U.S. packed with people who were looking for discounted toys. Thankfully, the retail is preparing for its comeback!It is reported that Toys R Us will be making a comeback, first in the U.S., in around late 2019 or early 2020. However though, if you’re imagining a Toys R Us will be full of toys inside it, the new store is going to have a new concept as well. According to Forbes and CNBC, the new Toys R Us will be much smaller than the previous ones. Toys R Us’ size was used to be about 40,000 square feet—that’s why they were aisles full of toys. However, for the comeback, they will have around 6,500 – 10,000 for each stores. It is reported that Toys R Us and its partners are planning to have 10 new stores by the end of 2020.
It also seems like Toys R Us is rebranding. Instead of selling toys only, the stores will have playground, so the kids can play in there. Other than the new stores, Toys R Us will activate their website as well in order to make consumers all over the country will have different options to shop from them.
