Tokyo Metropolitan Government Observatory Will Reopen on July 1st

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced on 26th that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Observatory, which had been suspended due to the spread of the new coronavirus, will be resumed from 10:00 am on July 1. To prevent the spread of infection, the opening time will be shortened from 10am to 5pm for the time being.

The observation room of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1 Main Office, which had been closed since February, will be reopened from the 1st of next month. The free observation room on the 45th floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building 1 that was visited by many tourists was closed from February 27 to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

To prevent infection, the number of people who can enter the room at the same time is limited to 100 people, the number of people using the elevator is limited to 10 people, and floors are marked to ensure social distance.

When resuming use, the capital encourages elementary school students and above to wear masks in principle, cooperate with temperature measurements and hand disinfection, and stay within one hour.

In addition, in the event of a mass infection, we are also calling for registration in the “Tokyo New Corona Monitoring Service” that informs pre-registered users of the outbreak information, and registers it on the 1st floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building 1 and the observation room.
