Thunberg wants to visit Japan for climate campaign

A teen environmental activist from Sweden, Greta Thunberg, revealed in an interview that she was looking forward to visiting Japan, if she was given the opportunity, for her agenda in warning the world about climate change. The plan came up during an interview with Kyodo News.

She was joining a weekly demonstration by school students in her hometown in Stockholm, capital of Sweden, coincidentally on her birthday. The 17-year-old Swedish girl stated that she remained determined to wake the world about climate change, even if that means that she had to bug people in power for that.

Moreover, Greta encouraged her Japanese environmental peers to keep pushing forward for the climate protection, saying that the Japanese elders had “betrayed” the youngsters and should have done efforts to protect the future for the next generations.

For 2020, Greta already had her own agenda to highlight the dangers of climate change and directly appeal to the world leaders about the emission reduction. Later January, Greta is expected to attend the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, held from 22 to 25 January.

Quoting the scientific data, Thunberg said that if scientists had warned the world about the danger of climate change, then the world should have done efforts to prevent the worst consequences.

The signs of climate change themselves are real from melting glaciers to natural occurrences all over the world.

Greta Thunberg made it into the headlines in 2018 when she initiated a “school strike for climate”, skipping school to join a climate protest in front of the Swedish parliament building. Furthermore, Greta made it to the world stage when she was invited to give her speech in the 2019 U.N. climate conferences in New York and Madrid.

Greta, perfectly aware of environmental damage due to aviation, took a two-week journey across the Atlantic Ocean, boarding a zero-carbon yacht to the 2019 climate summit in New York.
