Theresa May Quits Prime Minister Position

The 3 year PM finally gave up to party’s power. After 3 years of serving as Prime Minister of UK, today Theresa May packed her stuff from Downing Street, as she walked down from the position after a rough, harsh statements went after her by her own party members.

In a statement at Downing Street, she announced that she quitted the position, giving into what people had been asking all the time since her controversial Brexit move, that UK would separate itself from European Union.

Three years are not short, but it was not long either. Either way, with tears in her eyes, streaming onto her cheeks, she tearfully said that serving as Prime Minister was an “honour of her life”. She set her departure date on June 7.

All the flowery words and statements covered the actual story. If she had refused to resign, vote of no confidence would have done the trick, according to her meeting with Graham Brady, the chief of 1922 committee’s backbench.

Replacing David Cameron in 2016 PM election, May was widely known for her Brexit policy that caught UK under fire.

Had not Theresa May announced Brexit, she might have been sitting at 10 Downing Street. The policy caused an uproar within the people and her party members as well. Andrea Leadsom, the head of the House of Commons, chose resignation than delivering the Brexit deal on Wednesday (21/5).
