都の医療警戒レベル、最も深刻な「逼迫」に引き上げへ

The most serious medical alert in the city has been raised

On the 17th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government decided to raise the alert level of the medical care provision system in Tokyo to the most serious of the four stages, "the system is tight" (level 4). I found out by interviewing the people involved in the city. This is the first time that the medical care provision system has reached level 4 at a caution level that is determined based on indicators such as the number of inpatients and the number of critically ill patients. It will be officially decided at the monitoring meeting of the city on the afternoon of the same day.

Since July 9, the alert level of the medical care provision system has continued to maintain the second-highest severity, "need to strengthen the system". The city has secured 200 beds for severe cases and 2800 beds for moderate cases, but the number of inpatients is increasing as the number of newly infected people increases, and as of the 16th, there were 1960 patients and 1 hospitalization destination. There are a series of patients who are not determined by the day. As of the 15th, there were 78 seriously ill patients, a record high since the state of emergency was lifted. As of the 16th, the number remains high at 69.

Furthermore, in winter, the number of hospitalized patients due to heart disease and pneumonia other than the new corona tends to increase, and many hospitals that accept patients with the new corona use regular medical beds to secure beds for corona patients. It is diverted and supported. At the monitoring meeting on the 10th, it was recognized that "it is difficult to balance medical care for new corona patients with normal medical care. The medical care provision system is beginning to become tight."
