The Economy growth in Asia will reach a target of 5,7% until 2020

Jakarta, Indonesia - According to Reuters, Asian Development Bank (ADP) admitted despite the China-US trading tensions that consequences of the global economic slowdown, Asia will continue to maintain lenders' economic growth for this year and next year. ADB remains confident that economic growth in Asia will be able to reach 5.7 percent this year and 5.6 percent next year.

Chief Economist Yasuyuki Sawada stated on Thursday (18/7) that even though the trading war still continues, Asia will continue to maintain strong growth despite its moderate nature until 2020.

However, the condition is that Asia has to able to make a policy that can be used to offset the negative impact of the US price or tariff war on them.

Apparently, not only maintaining Asia's growth forecast, ADB also will maintain their projections of the Chinese economy. This because despite getting a heavy burden from the trading war launched by America, China's economy will still be able to grow 6.3 percent in 2019 and 6.1 percent in 2020.

It is reported that ADB will maintain China's growth projections of 6.3% and 6.1% for 2019 and 2020, and reduce the forecast for India's growth to 7.0% in 2019 and 7.2% in 2020, respectively from 7.2% and 7,3%, which was seen in April 2019.
