Surabaya Mayor, Tri Rismaharini, Supports Startup Companies

The famous Surabaya mayor, Tri Rismaharini, was invited by Koridor Co-working Space, located at Gedung Siola, Surabaya. During the event, Risma did a mentoring for startup company CEOs who were also invited to the event. Risma was there not only to support the companies, but she was there to reveal d about the development strategies for Surabaya as well. She talked about the development of infrastructure, education, health, as well as public welfare.

Risma’s purpose on revealing the development of Surabaya is actually to ask help by the companies. She hopes that these startup companies will be able to create services to tackle the problems in Surabaya. However, Risma also promised that Surabaya government will monitoring and supporting the startup companies. By doing this, Risma hopes that startup companies will be able to develop and widen their wings.

Risma also motivated the startup companies during her speech. She even gave an example of a successful Surbaya’s startup companies, Riliv. She admitted that she pushed Riliv to widen their wings, because she thinks the company is profitable. As of now, Riliv is a success company as they have overseas customers. Risma also revealed that she is planning to help the startups by promoting it. If she’s promoting it, this could be a huge deal as Risma can bring investors for the startup companies.
