Suddenly Joining A Military, EXO’s D.O Wrote A Goodbye Message to EXO-Ls

Seoul, South Korea – EXO’s main vocal, D.O suddenly announced that he will immediately undergo compulsory military enlistment on the 1^st July this year. The owner of real name Do Kyung Soo's even wrote a farewell letter to his fans on Thursday (30/5) to announce it directly to the EXO-Ls.

At the beginning of the letter, D.O revealed how hard it was to convey the announcement of his decision to join the enlistment. However, he must convey it so that fans will not surprise.

D.O stated on Newsen that he uploaded this letter because he wanted to tell EXO-Ls that his enlistment decision was made after many considerations, and he promise will to return after serving the country in a healthy and safe manner next year.

He also expressed his gratitude to EXO-Ls who have been supporting him through times and hoping everyone will always be healthy and always have days filled with things that make them laugh, since he will carefully serve the country and will return to greet EXO-Ls again with a healthy image in the future.

However, as someone who was born in 1993, D.O could actually postpone his military service until 2021 but, he decided to start early on July 1 as an active military soldier. Among EXO members, D.O became the second member to begin conscription years after Xiumin. Xiumin first entered the army on 7 May, marking that there will be 2 EXO members that are joining the enlistment this year.
