SUBARU in Gunma establish a new product line dedicated to electric vehicles

Subaru, an automobile manufacturer, has announced that they will establish a new production line fi EVs (Electric Vehicles) in Gunma Prefecture, where the production base is located.

They are aiming for operation after 2027.

Automakers are currently manufacturing EVs on existing lines that make hybrid vehicles, but this is the first time they have announced that they will establish a new dedicated line in Japan.

Subaru plans to launch an EV jointly developed with Toyota Motor Corporation in the middle of this year, but plans to accelerate its response to EVs by establishing a new dedicated line.
