Stock price temporarily rises over 300 yen, but wait-and-see attitude strengthens

On September 20th, after the consecutive holidays, the Tokyo stock market and the Nikkei Stock Average temporarily rose above 300 yen. A wait-and-see attitude strengthened, and the range of price increases narrowed.

A market insider said, “The Nikkei Stock Average, which had fallen sharply last week, temporarily rose by more than 300 JPY due to strong buybacks immediately after the start of trading, but that momentum did not last. Central bank in US and other countries are scheduled to hold meetings to decide monetary policy, and there is a growing mood to refrain from aggressive transactions because they want to determine the content of the meeting.”
