Star Wars Coke Bottles Banned For Looking Like Grenades

On Thursday, August 29, 2019, Disney opens its Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park in Orlando, Florida, U.S. This is a place where Star Wars fans can enjoy the star wars-themed vacation, from touring the Millennium Falcon to hanging out at a Cantina in real-life version. Disney also provides Star Wars-themed goodies, including the $5 coke bottles. The bottles of Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite were made with a style that fits in the world of Batuu, one of the planets in Star Wars. Their shapes resemble thermal detonators used in Star Wars films. Each of brand is written in Aurebesh, a special language made for Star Wars films.

The hype of the Star Wars coke bottles is real and fans love them. The Star Wars fans even brought the bottles home from the park, to be used as display. However, they got troubles because TSA banned the bottles for looking like grenades. Some of the fans asked the officials whether the bottles will still be banned or not if they remove cap from the bottle. They also had an idea to transport the part of the bottles separately on flights. The idea was crushed by TSA on Twitter. TSA wrote that even without the cap, the bottles are till considered replicas and are not allowed in carry-on or checked bags. If TSA officers find the bottles during screening, they will be seized.

On the bright side, TSA allows Star Wars fans to bring hand-built lightsabers and astromech droids on flight. The agency even joke about it in “What Can I Bring” guide by saying that technology haven’t invented a real lightsaber yet. However, the toy lightsaber can be brought on the flight. TSA end it with “May the force be with you.” The fans need to be creative in bringing their Star Wars treasure home.
