Stable Economy, Here Are the 4 Potential Investment Sectors in Indonesia According to BI

Jakarta, Indonesia - Indonesia's solid and stable economic including macro economy growth which is well maintained in the middle of the dynamics of the global economy is very conducive and profitable to the current investment climate in the country. Therefore, Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo invited investors around their world to invest capital and shares in Indonesia.

Perry stated on Thursday (07/04/19) at the Indonesia Infrastructure Investment Forum (IIIF) in London, England that, to support the continued maintenance of Indonesia's macroeconomic stability and economic growth, including the development of four potential sectors in Indonesia, BI continues to carry out a policy mix and synergize with the government and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

He mentioned that, there are four potential sectors of investments in Indonesia, including manufacturing, tourism, fisheries and infrastructure.

To invest in the manufacturing sector, the focuses are on three export commodities, which are automotive, textile and footwear that can bring many profits.

Investment opportunities in the tourism sector are focused on developing Indonesia's tourism development and branding priorities, especially in Lake Toba, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, Borobudur, Joglo Semar, Bali, Jakarta, Banyuwangi, the Thousand Islands, and Bromo as main destinations.

However, investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector are apparently referring to the list of national strategic projects released by the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) consist of 223 projects and 3 programs that are directly connected to the government and continue to develop hedging instruments in the foreign exchange market to increase innovative financing in financing infrastructure development.

Lastly, for the fisheries sector, the investment opportunity is really huge especially in Eastern Indonesia for the development of cultivation and processing industries as Indonesia has a huge potential of natural resources.
Hopefully, through the IRU-RIRU-GIRU (Investor Relation Unit (IRU) / Regional Investor Relations Unit (RIRU) / Global Investor Relations Unit (GIRU) linkage supported by integrated promotional activities can encourage investment flows into Indonesia.

IIIF 2019 is an event to promote investment opportunities in the manufacturing, tourism, fisheries and infrastructure sectors. It is reported that, the event was attended by business people, investors, financial institutions, and local business associations to invite many investors in Indonesia.
