Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones

Sophie Turner Calls Petition to Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 'Disrespectful'

Game of Thrones season 8 has just ended, but it seems like some of the fans don’t like the ending of the series. Just before the finale episode, a fan created petition which now has more than 1 million signatures.

However, Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, doesn’t approve that. She even told the press that she found the fan-creation petition to remake the final season is disrespectful. In an interview with New York Times which was published on Monday, May 20, she stated that she’s not surprised by how the fans’ reaction with how the story ended.

Turner expressed her opinion by saying that people always have an idea of the ending of a story. When the story doesn’t follow how they thought it will be, people would be frustrated. She even predicted that the fans will voice out their opinion about the dislike of the ending. However, Turner thinks that the petition is a disrespectful opinion, especially for the crews. Making a film or series doesn’t only require the actors, but the whole crew as well. Hence, making a petition by saying the series needs to be remake is a disrespectful request. Turner added that Game of Thrones have always full of plot twists from the first season. She knows people would shock from time to time, but still think the request to remake the season is disrespectful.

The petition requests to remake the final season and to replace the writers with competent writers. They even stated that the writers have no source materials (the books) to create the series.
