Soon, Electronic Traffic Ticket Will Be Applied

In the near future, the government will soon implement an electronic traffic ticket system for the transports that were found to be in violation after being examined at weigh stations. General Director of Land Transportation, Budi Setiyadi said the system will be launched on Sunday at 'car free day' Jakarta.

Budi explained with the concept of e-traffic ticket will the driver who got traffic ticketed is no need to go to court, but only need to pay through nearest ATM or mobile banking, then give proof of payment of fine to officer through e-traffic ticket application.

"So for example if I am a person who is far from Surabaya ticketed in Jakarta on weigh bridge, he will be ticketed then he can pay via atm or via bank after proof of payment is returned to us then our evidence back.," said Budi, Wednesday (28 / 2). Related to the cost of fines, Budi said it is still discussing with a number of related institutions such as the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court. As for before, Budi said that the existence of e-traffic ticket system is intended to prevent illegal charge.
