SIKM Deleted, Passengers in Jakarta Stations Increase Dramatically

The number of passengers in DKI Jakarta terminals surged after Jakarta Exit Permit (SIKM) was canceled. The movement of people in and out of Jakarta is now more flexible although it is still in the transition to the Large-Scale Social Limitation (PSBB).

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo said, now the number of passengers in a number of Jakarta terminals has reached thousands of people per day. Previously, during the implementation of SIKM, the number of passengers never even reached tens.

The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta had previously officially abolished the Jakarta SIKM as of last Tuesday (7/14). This is because the SIKM since the first PSBB transition has not been effective.

Syafrin continued, although the SIKM was abolished, supervision of health protocols at the terminal was still being carried out. He continued to appeal for residents who would travel to continue to comply with the health protocol.

Syafrin explained, by eliminating SIKM, his party changed the pattern of preventing the spread of the corona virus (Covid-19) in the Capital region. At present, he said, the pattern is more on controlling the virus, not on limiting the movement of people.

SIKM as a condition of entering and leaving Jakarta was officially abolished. Instead, residents who want to go in and out of Jakarta must continue to take care of permits by filling out the forms in the Corona Likelihood Metric application or CLM.

CLM is a health test method using information technology systems to determine the possibility of a person's risk of Covid-19.

The CLM filling can be done through the https://jaki.jakarta.go.id/ application or through the https://rapidtest-corona-jakarta.go.id website.
