Sex scandal in the K-Pop industry! Malaysian billionaires become fugitives

The sex scandal case that befell the South Korean entertainment industry seems to be endless. After involving big names like BIGBANG's former member Seungri, singer Jung Joon-young, to YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-Suk. This time, there's a big name that is allegedly involved in this sex scandal. He is Low Taek Jho aka Jho Low, a billionaire from Malaysia.

South Korean media on Monday (05/27/2019) reported that the founder of K-pop label 'YG Entertainment', Yang Hyuk-suk, had provided sex services to foreign guests including Jho Low. The Straight Program of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) stated that Yang had hired sex workers for two Southeast Asian investors in July 2014 at his NB nightclub in Seoul.

Besides Jho Low, there is another foreign investor called also receiving sex services. He is a businessman from Thailand whose name wasn’t disclosed. The dinner and sex service activities were reportedly carried out in July 2014.

Currently Jho Low is still a fugitive from the 1MDB scandal. That is a $ 4.5 billion embezzlement scandal from a state investment company in Malaysia. The 1MDB corruption scandal also dragged the name of the former Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak. Not only by the Malaysian government, Jho Low is also sought after by governments in other countries, such as Singapore and United States (US).

Responding to these accusation about sex scandal, YG Entertainment and Jho Low, through his lawyers in the US, expressed strong objections. They considered that the report as a 'baseless' accusation.
