S.Korean President Yoon: N.Korean regime will end if it uses nuclear weapons

Yoon was speaking on Tuesday at a ceremony held at a base near Seoul to commemorate the 75th Armed Forces Day, which is observed on October 1. He said North Korea is upgrading its nuclear and missile capabilities and threatening to use nuclear weapons. He said that constitutes an existential threat to the South Korean people and a grave challenge to world peace. Yoon referred to the summit talks with Japan and the United States at Camp David outside Washington in August. He emphasized that the countries' trilateral cooperation framework will further strengthen deterrence.

South Korea on Tuesday then displayed weapons including tanks, self-propelled artillery and long-range surface-to-air missiles in a show of force. A large-scale military parade is scheduled to take place later in the day in central Seoul for the first time in 10 years.
