Robert Pattinson is the new Batman

The mega-star Robert Pattinson, 33, who used to play roles in Harry Potter and Twilight is set to replace Ben Affleck as the next actor to play Batman. Pattinson becomes the second-youngest actor to ever play the role Batman on the big screen after Christian Bale who was 31 when “Batman Begins” premiered in 2005.

The Batman was originally directed and starred by Affleck. However, after the disappointment of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, Affleck pull out the film and Matt Reeves taking over as the director for War for the Planet of the Apes.

Warner Bros has not confirmed Pattinson’s participation as the lead role in Batman, along with Nicholas Hoult on the shortlist.
However, by looking at Pattinson’s appearance in Harry Potter and Twilight, he is very much the frontrunner.

According to Insiders, “The Batman” could start filming in late 2019 or early 2020. In total, Pattinson has four films opening for this year, beginning with High Life. He also appears in The Lighthouse which bows at the Cannes as Robert Eggers, Waiting for the Barbarians and The King for Netflix.
