Robert Pattinson as The New Batman, Here’s What DC Officials Said

Hollywood, USA - Head of DC Entertainment Creative, Jim Lee uploaded a photo on Instagram which revealed that the Twilight Saga vampire actor seemed to be in the middle of casting for play a role as Batman.

On his @jimlee account he wrote "Ready for my 16 hours flight. What did I miss?", while uploading a photo showing passports, streaming movie service sites, video and tablet games with alleged dialogue for a film. Interestingly, in the dialog on the tablet there is the name Robert Pattinson in capital letters making people on the internet curious.

It is reported that previously, Pattinson was said to be in the process of negotiating for the role of this black costumed superhero that is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021. As a main role potential, Pattinson is expected to immediately complete the contract. However, currently there is no official comment from the actor or the Warner Bros production house.

Pattinson is reported undergoing an audition as Bruce Wayne when Reeves brushed up the final version of the film script. If in the end he gets the iconic role, then he is the youngest Batman in the history of the big screen.

Pattinson has responded to rumors that said he will become the new Batman. During a visit to the Cannes Film Festival in the framework of the film promo of The Lighthouse, Pattinson only gave a smile when the media crew asked about the Bruce Wayne role, however, he stated that he would only answer questions about The Lighthouse. Furthermore, during an interview with GALA Magazine, he also responded with diplomatic style. "I'm sorry, but I really can't talk about that," he said.

However, the rumor of Pattinson's latest role gets a negative response from DC fans. The petition through the Change.org site to fight Pattinson as a new Batman has been signed by nearly 6,000 people from the target of 7,500 signatures.

The fans are currently waiting for the official statement from DC and Warner Bros as there has been no official agreement from the actor and the production house about the new Batman movie.
