Former Iran Vice President Confesses to Killing His Wife (Credit : IRNA)

Refused to divorce, Iran ex-vice president killed his wife

Iranian state TV, IRIB, made a scene when they showed the event they called Breaking News.

In the video, Najafi recorded when walking into the police station. The police seemed bent and respectful of the former Iranian vice president with their hands on their chest. They also greet Najafi respectfully. Najafi was then filmed as a background. He was seated, chatting with the police while being seen occasionally drinking his tea. While a reporter reports the details of this case through the camera to the viewers.

Apparently at that time Najafi wanted to make a confession that he had killed his wife and then surrendered himself to the police. He said that the reason for killing his wife, Mitra Ostad, was because his wife's way of thinking had killed him.

The former Iranian vice president and Tehran mayor had requested for divorce. But his wife always refused. Feeling there was no other choice, he shot his wife five times. Two bullets hit Ostad and one of them hit her heart.

This video of recognition has become a controversy in the country. They questioned why Najafi, who claimed to have committed murder, was treated very politely by police. It’s really different from treating ordinary citizens who make small mistakes, such as not fasting in public or not wearing a hijab. A human rights activist named Shadi Sadr also condemned the failure of the police to maintain the integrity of this criminal investigation.
