Real Madrid Welcomes Luka Jovic

MADRID – Real Madrid added more “firepower” to their squad. As Zinedine Zidane sits back on the managing couch in March, he demands a total makeover to the squad, and this is his first transfer for the next season.

The fans and Real Madrid might be in a bad blood recently, by showing disrespect act towards their players when they are not playing well. Luka Jovic seems unwavered by the attitude. This boldness and his prolific performance with German's Eintracht Frankfurt and Russian's Red Star Belgrade attract Real Madrid to buy the Serbian youngster for €60 million with €10 million salary per season.

Real Madrid will announce the arrival of the 21 year old player at the end of Bundesliga 2018-2019 season, which is next week. With Red Star Belgrade, the first team he played for, he played in 42 matches and netted 12 goals, meanwhile with Eintracht Frankfurt he played 49 matches and netted 25 goals including 10 goals in Europa League campaign, before beaten by Chelsea in semi-final.

This transfer was done by Real Madrid in an effort to bolster the front side of the team. Their disappointing run in Champions League had to be stopped by the team of youngsters Ajax Amsterdam in round 16.

Vinicius Junior, the player once dubbed to be “The next CR7”, did not live to the expectation as he flopped for the rest of the season. Bought for €46 million (the most expensive amount for a player that young), the 19 year old Brazilian player played only 17 times, and netted only twice. Frankly speaking, quite normal for a kid that age playing with the giants.

With the unsatisfying stats above, Zidane -- as the new appointed manager -- grew impatient, and he wanted to bring in more explosive feet to the pitch.
