Prime Minister Yoshihide Kan will address his first speech at the extraordinary Diet session to be convened on this day. Earlier in the day, the prime minister told reporters at the prime minister's official residence, "I would like to express my great direction of policy and my determination to run the government as a Cabinet that works for the people."

Speaking about the extraordinary Diet session to be convened on the same day, he said, "There are new laws for vaccination of coronaviruses and laws for supporting disaster victims, so I would like to explain them carefully and work to pass them promptly." He answered reporters' questions at the official residence.

In the extraordinary Diet session, representatives of each party will be asked questions from the 28th, and the first Diet debate with the opposition party as prime minister will begin. In addition to policy issues, the issue of not appointing six candidates for membership recommended by the Science Council of Japan is expected to be a focus. The exhibition will be held for 41 days until December 5.
