Police Saved 50 Children After Breaking a Pedophile Website

LYON – According to the international police group, Interpol, 9 people had been arrested in Thailand, Australia, and the U.S on Thursday, May 23. With this arrest, 50 children had been rescued. The arrest occurred after the investigators took down an online pedophile website.
The police are expecting to arrest more suspects who are currently in 60 countries. Police found the suspects from the online pedophile website after an Interpol operation successfully broke the website. The website itself has 63,000 users worldwide.
In the web, there are 100 images of children that are shared. Operation Blackwrist, the Interpol team who broke the website, said that they traced back to a subscription-based site on the web. The web itself was able to encrypted software to hide the identities of the users. The website can’t be found through search engine—a specific URL is needed to open the site.
The first arrests of the suspects were in early 2018. The site’s main administrator, Montri Salangam, was captured in Thailand, while Ruecha Tokputza, another admin, was arrested in Australia. Salangam even posted one of his nephews’ photos on the web. He was sentenced June last year, and received 146 years in prison by Thai courts. Meanwhile, Tokputza, who is a pre-school teacher, got 36 years.
According to the Australian Associated Press, Tokputza was handed a 40-year prison term at his trial in Australia last Friday. He also stated that he had abused 11 babies and children between 2011 and 2018.
Interpol hasn’t released the identities for other arrests yet.
