PLN Starts Testing Moeldoko Electric Bus

Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB), an Indonesian electric bus manufacturer founded by the Chief of Staff of the President (KSP) General of the TNI (Ret.) Moeldoko, is known to be undergoing a trial session with PLN Disjaya this month.

MAB has handed over a prototype 2 unit, an electric bus with a length of 12 meters, to PLN Disjaya for testing. The bus with a 250 kWh battery capacity is planned to become the PLN operational vehicle. Prabowo conveyed several trial points which became part of the collaboration with PLN Disjaya. First the bus wants to be tested for the impact if the battery is charged at night.

Then the electric bus will be used around Jakarta as an operational vehicle. However it is not called the duration of use in one day.

PLN Public Relations Disjaya Dita Artsana confirmed that the state-owned electricity company is currently collaborating with MAB. But Dita did not explain the details of the cooperation and the bus trial points.

Before being tested by PLN Disjaya, the MAB electric bus was tested to be a Transjakarta fleet last year. Even so, the MAB said that they did not take part in the latest trial session from Transjakarta which began on Monday (6/7).

This month's trial trial for the Transjakarta electric bus is only attended by one participant, namely Bakrie Autoparts, which provides two Chinese-brand electric bus units, BYD, to be used in the EV1 line of City Hall - Blok M. This new test is a step forward in making BYD a bus Transjakarta official electricity.
