Pep Guardiola to UEFA : Man City are innocent until proven guilty

On Thursday, UEFA's club financial control body chief investigator assigned City to the European governing body's adjudicatory chamber for alleged violation of financial fair play rules.

The information mentioned that City violate the Financial Fair Play ordinance by increasing the value of multi-million-pound sponsorship deal. Previously in 2014, City also alleged breach of regulations and were punished £49m. 

The manager of Man City, Pep Guardiola said he would accept any punishment from UEFA if they are found guilty. He added that he trusts the club and Man City are innocent until it is proven.  

“Right now, I know the people are waiting for us to be guilty but we are innocent until it is proven. I’m sorry. If we did something wrong and UEFA decide we did something wrong we will be banned or we will be punished”, said Guardiola. 

If Manchester City is proven guilty then they will be banned from the Champions League for a season. 

On Saturday, Manchester City will against Watford in the FA Final match at Wembley stadium. Previously, Man City have won the Premier League and Carabao Cup, if they win over Watford, City will be the first team in England who win the domestic treble.
