Pep Guardiola awarded as The best Manager of the Year

After successfully bringing Man City to the top of the Premier League, Pep Guardiola once again defeated Jurgen Klopp to an award. On Tuesday, the League Managers Association (LMA) awarded Pep Guardiola as The Best Manager of the Year.    

Three days before, City victoriously defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 4-1 at Amex Stadium. They succeed to retain the champions title from their rivals Liverpool. The Reds collected 97 points, just one point behind Manchester City.  

City also won over Chelsea at Carabao Cup earlier in the campaign, Guardiola and team could accomplished an overwhelming victory of all three domestic honours when they have FA Cup final match with Watford At Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Guardiola leading the vote ahead of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino and Nuno Espirito Santo of Wolves.

At LMA awards dinner, Pep Guardiola said that he want to share the awards with all of City players and staff because they are the artist of everything and sometimes they fought a lot.

Guardiola also mentioned his rival both in LMA and Premier League, Jurgen Klopp. He said that all the managers in the Premier League, especially Jurgen Klopp was an incredible opponent to face until the end.

“It was a pleasure to play against all of them” said Pep Guardiola.
