PEAK REVERSE TANGERANG PEAK TOLL IS PREDICTED 23 AND 24 JUNE

JAKARTA - PT Marga Mandalasakti (ASTRA Tangerang-Merak Toll Road) predicts that the return of travelers who pass through the Tangerang-Merak toll road will fall on H + 7 and H + 8, Saturday and Sunday, 23 to 24 June 2018.

The average that will return via Tangerang-Merak toll road is the homecoming from Sumatera island who returns using four-wheeled private vehicle and tourist flow from Anyer-Carita-Tanjung Lesung area.

"The peak of the reverse flow is predicted to fall on H + 7 and H + 8 or Saturday and this week," said Indah Permanasari, Head of Legal Division and PR PT Marga Mandalasakti in its official statement.

Indah revealed, based on the calculation of his side, it is predicted that there will be an increase of traffic flow of Idul Fitri festivities this year by 18.05% compared to the normal daily average or 165,475 vehicles.

The peak of Idul Fitri festivities (Lebaran) backflow this time is also influenced by the flow of tourism with data recorded 51,199 vehicles originating from coastal tourism areas of Anyer and Carita.

The predicted increase in the flow of this vehicle compared with Lebaran transportation in 2017 last for the same period, that is 5.67%. ASTRA Tangerang-Merak toll road maximizes the operational of 89 regular substations located at 10 Toll Gate consisting of 7 substations of reversible and 5 tandem substations with the composition of Automatic Toll Gates (GTO) of 23 substations consisting of 12 Entrance Entrance, 9 Exit Stations and 2 Gardu Ramp.

All toll gates accept payment using electronic money cards, both for manual and GTO toll gates. The 10 percent discount promo of toll rates for electronic money card users is valid from 15-17 June 2018 using Bank Mandiri e-money, TapCash BNI, BRI BRI, Blink BTN and Flazz BCA.

"The penetration of electronic money users in the reverse flow is predicted to reach 96.5%," said Indah.

In an effort to handle the density of backflow and holiday traffic handlers are done as follows:

• Operation of Tandem substation at the Merak gate as much as 2 units when the reverse queue and officer arrangement of queue gate queue and tandem substation as many as 10 officers standby.

• Operation of tandem substation at East Serang toll gate of 1 unit during queuing tour flow.

• Update information through VMS service 21 units spread over Tangerang - Merak and gate access.

In this year's Lebaran backflow, ASTRA Tol Tangerang-Merak also runs heavy vehicle restrictions in accordance with regulations applicable during the period of reversal in the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road with the following conditions:

1. The limitation of the operation of the goods car with the Number of Permitted Weight (JBI) is more than 14,000 kg, 3 or more axes, and the freight car with carriage and trailer.

2. Enforcement Limitation on the operation of freight cars on June 22, 2018 (H + 7) at 00.00 WIB s.d 24 June 2018 (H + 8) at 24.00 WIB.

It is expected that with the restriction of goods vehicles can accelerate the traffic during the backflow so that the return travelers can feel the drive on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road smoothly, safely and comfortably.
