Panasonic Dry Cell Battery Production in Osaka to be Moved from Moriguchi to Another Factory in Kaizuka

Panasonic has decided to move the production of dry cell batteries from its factory in Moriguchi City, Osaka to another factory in Kaizuka City in southern Osaka Prefecture.

According to a source, Panasonic has decided to relocate the production of dry cell batteries at its Moriguchi factory in Moriguchi City, Osaka.

The factory is has been in operation for more than 60 years and is aging as a battery production base. The city has decided that the relocation is necessary due to the fact that the plant is aging as a battery production base and that the city ordinance requires the relocation of the site to green space.
