Ohtani Shohei blasts MLB-leading 24th home run

In Major League Baseball, Japanese two-way star Ohtani Shohei of the Los Angeles Angels crushed a two-run homer, helping his team pull off a come-from-behind victory over the Kansas City Royals.

Ohtani batted second as the designated hitter in Sunday's game in Kansas City.

In his third at bat in the fifth inning, Ohtani smacked a breaking ball over the right-center field fence, giving the Angeles a 3-2 lead.

Ohtani has now homered in two consecutive games and leads MLB in home runs with 24.

The two-way sensation also extended his hitting streak to 15 games, with batting average of .300.

Mike Trout followed with a homer over the left field fence, prompting Ohtani to take off the "kabuto" samurai helmet he wears to celebrate home runs and put it on Trout.

The Angels beat the Royals 5-2.
