Nintendo is going to release Nintendo Switch 1 and 2

Two new versions of Nintendo Switch are reported to be release soon, although Nintendo hasn’t say anything about the news. The two Switch models are rumored to be launch in 2019, according to a past report from The Wall Street Journal on March. 

One of the versions claimed to be designed for every “passionate” gamers and would feature advanced hardware. The other model said to be cheaper and suitable for casual gamers.  All games for the existing Switch will be playable on the new Switch and vice versa.  

Regarding the rumors, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa doesn’t clearly said about the upcoming Switch Models. Nintendo will announce the news when it is ready, as he said through a call on May. 

The news remained unclear but the WJS new report on June 12 mentioned some information regard to the New Nintendo Switch versions. Due to the trade war between China ada the U.S, Nintendo currently changes the production of the new consoles to Taiwan and Vietnam anticipating any possibilities the US tariffs on electronics manufactured in China.

Game consoles are not related to politics, however the Trump administration’s proposal to apply tax rate of 25 percent would affect game industry. Production cost, selling price and other costs would increase as well.  

Nintendo Switch made its debut in March 2017. The first generation of Nintendo Switch succeed gaining gamers attention after it were being released. Now Nintendo has to compete with its rivals such as Sony and Microsoft.
