Neymar: I Have Sinned against Barca

Regret does come late. One of the best Brazilian soccer player in the world, Neymar Jr., had a hard time adapting himself to French soccer. We are not talking about his goal drought, but we are talking about how he wanted to win Champions League with PSG as he once won with Barcelona in 2014-2015 season.

Nonetheless, since he trod his foot to Parc de Prince, he did not get what he expected. Thus, he missed the team he used to play with.

In a headline by a Brazilian news agency by Wednesday (19/6), Mundo Deportivo, it was stated that Neymar could not stand playing in PSG, and he regretted the decision to leave the past. Even more, he referred to Camp Nou as “home”.

‘I do not want to play here (PSG) anymore, I want to go back to my home, where I should never have left,’ said Neymar as quoted by the media.

Together with PSG, Neymar could only reign domestically by winning 2 consecutive Ligue 1 seasons (2017-2018, 2018-2019), but no Champions trophy at sight. Thus, he missed the good ol’ times with Messi and Suarez.

Due to his prior injury, Neymar could only helplessly watch as his French team was beaten by Manchester United at a comeback.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Saudi Arabian owner of PSG and beIN Media Group, also grew tired of hearing Neymar’s moan and his “superstar” antics. Especially, after a recent sexual issue that involved the 27 years old Brazilian superstar. So tired that he agreed to put Neymar on sale.

The action was contrary to Thomas Tuchel’s optimism that the whole team would be staying for the next season. But, looking at how the conditions have gone, nothing is certain.

Hearing the news, Messi was on fire to bring back Neymar to be his playmate at Camp Nou, despite the fact that Barca had agreed before to transfer French superstar Antoine Griezmann. Using his influence as main cannon of Barcelona, Messi even had the nerve to demand Barca to reject Griezmann and sign the former player instead.
