Netizens raised funds for Yuka Takaoka, Yandere girl from Shinzuku, Why?

More than a week passed, but Yuka Takaoka's case is still discussed by netizens. Recently, Yuka Takaoka's name was discussed again. Not about developments in her case, but because of a donation intended for her.

Even though Takaoka was considered as a psychopath, there were still some people who felt sympathy for her. They think that Takaoka doesn't need to be imprisoned and just needs to be rehabilitated. So she will be able to become a normal girl again. They even made a donation at one of the fundraising sites. So Takaoka could get a fee for rehabilitation. The donation is targeted to be able to collect as much as 3000$.

But surprisingly, just two days after donation was made, the target was successfully exceeded. They managed to collect a total of 3840$ from 69 contributors.

Some netizens protested this donation. They assume that this donation is actually like supporting the crime committed by Takaoka. Cause stabbing people is not a joke.

The treatment by donors to Takaoka also provoked criticism because it was considered 'favoritism'. Remembering Takaoka has a pretty face. They felt that these contributors won’t do the same if the culprit has not-good-looking face. After getting a lot of criticism, the site that displayed the donation was reportedly deleted because it could no longer be opened.

Yuka Takaoka was arrested by the Shinjuku police after stabbing her male friend in her apartment. The girl who works at bar stabs the guy who also works at another bar as a host. After stabbing her victim, Takaoka casually smoked next to the bloodied male body. She even looks smiling in a police car. To the police, she said that since she loved him so much. She just couldn’t help but stab him in his stomach.
