N. Korea warns the U.S about the nuclear deal

On Sunday, a senior North Korean (N. Korea) also a former nuclear negotiator warned the United States (U.S) not to play around regarding the denuclearization deal.

The current Chairman of the Korea-Asia Pacific Peace Committee, Kim Yong Chol, said that Washington should not beat around the bush, or else N. Korea will make a “bold decision” by the year’s end. The Supreme Leader of N. Korea, Kim Jong-un, set the deadline no later than the end of 2019 for Washington to forge a nuclear agreement for both countries.

Kim Yong Chol also pointed out that while the close, personal relationship between the President of the U.S, Donald Trump, and Kim Jong-un looks harmonious, it will not guarantee that N. Korea would tolerate the U.S’ tardiness.

For the worst-case scenario, if the U.S keeps delaying, N. Korea will not hesitate to “exchange fires” as it might seriously mistake Washington’s deed.

In early October, the current nuclear negotiator of N. Korea, Kim Myong-gil, met with his U.S counterpart in Sweden to discuss the denuclearization effort between the two countries. The working-level meeting in Sweden was the first since the failed summit in Hanoi, Vietnam, February. Trump and Kim agreed to restart discussion in June after both met at Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

However, the talks broke down after what Kim Myong-gil described as American “inflexibility”.

Since the talks between the U.S and N. Korea keep failing, Kim Jong-un keeps “testing” projectiles. Although Trump seems to disagree with the “childish” act, to save the relations between them, Trump said that the projectile did not violate any agreement.
