Mr. Suga's focus to the timing of dissolution of the House of Representatives
Although the election of the Liberal Democratic Party has just started, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga has already obtained the majority of the Diet members' votes. The line of sight within the vote is already heading towards the "Suga administration". Mr. Suga has begun to envision a long-term full-fledged government while pursuing "the successor to Abe."
On the afternoon of the 8th, a presentation speech was held at the party headquarters with all three candidates. The first thing Mr. Suga touched on was his respect for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
"I have laid the foundation for today. I would like to send my utmost compliments to our outstanding leadership and judgment."
In his speech, Mr. Kan emphasized "inheritance" by successively listing Abenomics, foreign and security policies, and constitutional revisions that the Abe administration has been working on. At a joint press conference afterward, the reporter pointed out problems such as Moritomo and Kakegakuen's problems and asked “changes” from the current administration.
“If something is objectively wrong, we will review it,” he said in response to the question, as well in regard to what kind of response he may do later in the future.
