Misspelled on Australia's Latest $50 Note

The ‘i’ in responsibility on Australia’s newest $50 note is missing. The newest note’s design was distributed to the public for the first time in October 2018. It seems like no one noticed about the misspelled ‘responsibility’ on the banknote. However, it escalated quickly when a person noticed the missing ‘i’ on the responsibility sentence. The person immediately reported to the radio to spread the word about the missing letter.

The Reserve Bank of Australia stated that they will correct the mistake, but will not withdraw the ones that have been spread across Australia. A representative of The Reserve Bank of Australia also said that it’s a pretty common situation where there is a print error on the money and there will be also no extra cost for printing the new $50 notes.  Furthermore, The Reserve Bank of Australia added that people don’t have to worry. The misspelled note can still be used for transactions.

The $50 notes which were released last year, featured the Edith Cowan, the first member of an Australian parliament. The fields behind her looks like a garden, but it’s actually not. It is rows of text of her speech, which says, "It is a great responsibility to be the only woman here, and I want to emphasize the necessity which exists for other women being here," that is being repeated several times.
