Microsoft Project XCloud : Play Xbox games everywhere and every time with your smartphone

Microsoft corp announced its new game-streaming strategy, the XCloud streaming service, which allow users to play Xbox games on smartphone or other devices whenever they want.

Gamers can enjoy playing Xbox games such as, Halo Infinite, Forza and other video games on their device by plugging it into a controller.

During the E3 conference in Los Angeles, the vice president of Xbox game studios Matt Booty said XCloud is all about the games that everyone love, the games where players with their friends can play together anytime on their devices.

Gamers will have freedom to play on the device they want without being limited to one particular device as Microsoft claimed.

Kareem Choudhry, the Corporate Vice President of Gaming Cloud at Microsoft, said Project XCloud is not a replacement for game consoles.  It is an alternative for gamers who don’t have access to console at the moment or either at all.

The official release date for Project XCloud is still unclear, but the company said public beta testing will start between September to November this year.

Regarding the price of Project XCloud, the vice president of Xbox game studios Matt Booty didn’t mention the number, instead said the price will be competitive. Later, Microsoft will compete with Google Stadia and Ubisoft Entertainment SA who have announced their monthly service fee for $10 and $15 respectively.

Previously, Microsoft informed public about Project Scarlett, a new project for its next-generation console. Comparing to the current Xbox One X, the company claimed the Project Scarlett will be four time more powerful in speed. The upcoming console will use an Advanced Micro Devices Inc. processor which allows speeds of 120 frames per second.

Project Scarlett will be released on 2020 while the price is still a secret. Booty said the upcoming console will absolutely be the strongest and enveloping on the market.
