Megadeth's Dave Mustaine Have Throat Cancer

The metal warrior wrote in his Instagram personal account about the throat cancer diagnosis and how he’s dealing with it. The statement began with he showed his strenght by pushing through in dealing with the disease as he dealt with so many obstacles before. Mustaine said the medical team had plan treatment and it is already begun. He’s still as tough as he used to.

Due to his condition, the band cancelled upcoming shows for this year. It will be a big disappointment to Megadeth’s fans, but everything must be done to take care of their iconic frontman. However, he wrote that the 2019 Megacruise will happen. Megadeth will be participated on that event, since they are the host, but it has not been declared whether they will play or not. He wrote that the fans can check on the up to date informations at the band’s official website, megadeth.com. Mustaine also ensured that Megadeth will be back on the road immediately. Right now he and his bandmates, David Ellefson, Kiko Loureiro, and Dirk Verbeuren are working on the next record following their last album Dystopia, which came out in 2016. He ended the post with the gratitude words to the people who are supporting him.

As a vocalist and guitarist, he co-founded Megadeth in 1983 after he was fired from Metallica. The last was Best Metal Performance, which they won in 2017 for Dystopia.
