Massive Flood due to Heavy Rain in Spain, 1 Person Killed

Tafalla, Spain - According to the Sky News Page, on Wednesday (07/10/19) heavy rain that occurred since Monday night caused road closures and power outages, especially in the city of Tafalla, northern Spain and impacted two rivers to overflow.

This heavy rain also triggered floods in Spain that a car driver was killed because his vehicle was swept away by the flood because it hit several hard things. The identity of the person who died has not been confirmed yet however, he was tragically found near Moriones, in the municipality of Ezprogui in Spain.

The Spanish Meteorological Agency, AEMET stated that, heavy rains will still occur until Wednesday today. They also issued alert warnings of floods and landslides in several regions in Spain so the citizens can evacuate immediately to the safest places.

However, not only Tafalla, in Pamplona, which is about 25 miles (40 km), it is also affected by the massive flood. As a result, the temporary committee postponed the annual bull festival, San Fermin, which was held for a week to ensure the safety of the people.

The local railroad tracks are also covered in floods, making the transportation and several train trips are hampered currently and people are waiting for the help from the help center and government.
