Lorenzo had a scary accident in Barcelona Circuit

Repsol Honda rider Jorge Lorenzo suffered a frightening accident at the Catalunya MotoGP on Monday (6/17/2019). The incident happened on second lap at tenth corner of Catalunya MotoGP. The three-time MotoGP world champion was thrown into gravel and crashed into the security wall at the edge of the circuit. The Honda RC213V motorbike ridden by Lorenzo arrived mentally and landed on a pile of safety tires.

Quoted from Crash, Lorenzo claimed to have felt scared. The reason, the former Ducati and Yamaha rider felt pain that was quite severe, especially on the back, elbows and big toe, after the accident occurred.

This accident also sparked controversy because it made Maverick Vinales, Andrea Dovizioso, and Jorge Lorenzo have to retreat earlier in 2019 Catalunya MotoGP. Valentino Rossi who had continued the race had to retreat too because of damage to his motorbike. The accident also undermined Dovizioso's ambition to win the race and cut the distance from Marc Marquez. Marquez himself won the Catalunya MotoGP easily after the successive accident incident.

After the accident, Lorenzo apologized through the media to Rossi, Vinales and Dovizioso after the race ended. Quoted from the US, the 32-year-old driver also went to the Yamaha garage with Repsol Honda director, Alberto Puig, to meet Rossi,Vinales and Dovizioso. But the former Ducati and Yamaha rider failed to meet all of them because Rossi and Vinales had left the garage. So he can only meet directly with Dovizioso.
