Looking for a healthier life? Say 'No' to instant noodles

We all agree that in the cold or breezy weather, hot instant noodle is the best dish. Its portability and easiness are what make it loved by people all around the world. More often than not, people depend on it for breakfast, lunch, and even dinner.

Instant noodles can be consumed as subsidiary food if you cannot find anything left in your fridge. It has carbohydrates, vitamin B, iron, and manganese.

Nonetheless, we don’t recommend you to eat it daily because it lacks essential nutrients for your body, let alone the MSG and other flavorings that don’t benefit your body at all, harming it instead. For example, some instant noodles have a high level of salt which might lead to hypertension.

Therefore, knowing the good and the bad sides of instant noodles, it is better if you limit your noodle intake. But, how? We are here to tell you how.

First, you can reduce the flavorings. Instant noodle is packed with flavorings such as MSG to make it taste good. Then, if you want to know its true colors, try to reduce the additional flavorings. Repeat it every time you are craving for noodles. And, slowly you will recognize that instant noodle is not that good.

Next, you can make your own noodle mixture at home. As you might have known, instant noodle has only additional seasoning. The “probably” natural thing included inside is only crispy shallot or dried vegetables. Instead of thinking this as a healthy meal, you can add your own “ingredients”.

Try putting in some eggs, chickens, or chicken sausage to make it more nutritious. Of course, this step is quite bothersome for you who want to enjoy this instantly. However, the bright side is you can enjoy the noodle as a healthy dish now. But, remember to stick to the first step.

Because instant noodles lack fiber, try to take fruit as an appetizer before taking noodles as your main course. The fruit is rich in fiber, and by eating it, the appetite for instant noodles can be suppressed as well. In other words, substitute your instant noodle-crave to fruit instead.

In conclusion, is it wrong to enjoy some instant noodles on a cold day? Of course not. However, too much is never too good. Eating instant noodles once a month is safe for you. But, daily? It is no longer safe. There are more dishes to explore there, and certainly, healthier than instant noodles.
