Liverpool menace to punish ticket scalpers

Liverpool made an official warning for fans who selling tickets through unofficial site sources will be punished with a limitless boycott from Anfield. 

The club statement said fans are warned buying tickets via unofficial online sources. They said it does not guarantee if the tickets are legal or that they will receive them. 

The controversy of ticket availability is a long-lasting problem for Liverpool fans. The club merely received 16,613 tickets for the Champions League Final match in Wanda Metropolitan, Madrid. A club poll, for supporters not guaranteed a ticket via previous attendance criteria has reached 30,508 applications. 

Fans had just limited time to successfully buying tickets with normal prices and only in hours the tickets are announced to be resold with higher prices. On Friday, one resale online site released the tickets prices for the match ranging from €3,200 to €40,000.

 

Regarding the ticket issue, the Reds have formed a ticket investigation team taking action for 18 months. The club said they commit to tackle ticket touting by created a test purchase programme to protect supports from purchasing via unofficial ticketing sites. Selling or offering to sell tickets without the official permission of Liverpool is considered as a criminal offense. They also emphasize to impose sanctions on any fans who sell tickets through unauthorized ticketing sites.        

"Sanctions could include ticket-buying suspensions and indefinite bans from Anfield”, said Liverpool’s official.  

The club advised fans to think twice before buying a reselling ticket. They added that any resale tickets for the Champions League final in Madrid maybe are invalid and supporters will be unable to enter the Estadio Metropolitano.
